This place is amazing!!! We came up for a ski weekend and everything was perfect, right next to Sugarbush, 3 minute drive. The hosts are responsive and the building is very cool. I loved getting up before skiing and seeing the view from the chairs with a cup of coffee. It was perfect

LOVED the living room, all the sunlight that came in through the windows and playing chess at the custom table and beautiful wood pieces. The property was fun to explore.
Just make sure you're comfortable with who you stay with - the bedrooms are all open to public spaces - this very much embraces the open layout concept :)
Hosts were super communicative/responsive/friendly. Can't wait to make another trip out there and potentially even stay on the other property.

One of the coolest airbnb’s ever! The Archie Bunker is indeed a work of art. It’s very quirky, timeless and just beautiful! We arrived at the property after sundown and it’s very easy to find yet still very private. There are so many mood lights! The main room is super beautiful even at night. I just wish there are pool lights, I think it’ll be even more beautiful. The concrete tub was an experience and although there are no blinds on the shower, it is still very secluded so you’re not really exposed. My dog loved the lush yard! Last but not least, I never thought the pool would be that big! It is very rustic indeed but beautiful nonetheless! That was the highlight of my trip — the cold plunge from the pool. Thank you for sharing this place with us! It was such an unforgettable weekend ✨

This is a really cool place to stay. It's a large house with lots of interesting design, comfy furniture and beautiful views. We did get about 2 feet of snow during our stay and could easily access Lincoln Peak within a 3 minute drive of the house. I've stayed in lots of boring, clean, well stocked condos with zero charm and rated them a 5 because they fit the description of what I was expecting and I had an uneventful easy stay. This house is very true to the description, you may, on occasion, hear a small woodland creature, but this didn't bother us a bit as we have stayed in many country settings. You may also feel a slight draft in some parts of the house but the warm concrete floor, the book shelves filled with goodies, the views, the beds, the glass shower in a concrete basin will make it all worth it. Its a gem of a house and I can wait to visit again!

This place is a paradise.
The cooking utilities and kitchen structure were very helpful and made the hardest parts of camping fun. There was plenty of space for 10+ tents. The swimming platform made for a great day out on the water.
We did the swim around the island before breakfast challenge, and let me tell you, it was a challenge. The water is quite shallow and rocky so some parts were more of a crawl. Still super fun! We had an absolute blast and created some great memories.
Our only issue was that the dock was in very rough shape when we arrived, although the host did let us know about this before we arrived. Overall was not too much of an issue, but we did need to move the dock which took some muscle.
I would absolutely recommend this place to someone looking for an island camping experience and who is prepared to rent a boat.

This was a quaint and enjoyable experience. The welcome packet I received was very informative and provided excellent information as to what to expect. It gave easy directions to find the launch, where to park, and how to navigate to the island. It is minimalist's dream stay. The hosts were responsive and informative with a timely manner. Thanks so much for a wonder experience.

This was a unique stay! Great for a large crowd and camping experience. Sabra was quick with responses and the directions were very easy to follow. On a busy lake you can still have plenty of privacy for your group and allow the dogs to run free. Highly recommend and we will be back.

This is obviously not an average Airbnb experience, but it was definitely one of the most memorable times of my life!
The island (Little Whortlebury) is in the middle of Lake Winnipesaukee, and the boat-only access make it super private and secluded.
Our group had six tents and one hammock, and there would have been space for many more. Though there were some supplies on the island, we brought our own tarps to ensure we had cover over the seated area and a small ‘lounge’ we created.
If visiting for the first time, my suggestion would be to rent a boat with a decent engine (not the 25hp platforms which don’t require a license). That way you can easily make trips to Wolfeboro, Melvin Village, etc. so you can easily get ice creams, re-up on creature comforts like ice, and generally enjoy all the lake has to offer.
Other than that, our suggestion would be to do lots of preparation and bring everything you think you’ll need.

This place is awesome! This is our second year going there. We had a wonderful time..... Definitely bring some bumpers for your boat the dock is a little rickety. There is a large Doe on the island and 2 red squirrels and a raccoon this year. Like any backwoods adventure make sure you lather up with the bug spray and check yourself for deer ticks. Seems like people may explore the island when it's not rented so you may have to kick people off. All and All it's absolutely wonderful place to go and the host was awesome. Don't want to talk it up too much because we'd like to keep our spot every year😊

I found this to be a very unusual listing since it's a private island with no-one else on it. However it was an absolute gem! It is located in a good quiet spot, plenty of opportunity for swimming and kayaking. We also had a jet ski, which we took to more open water near-by on the lake (you need a boating license in NH for any boat over 25HP). Be prepared to rent a boat if you do not have one already. Getting too and from can be difficult with large groups (we had 11), as it takes quite a bit of time to ferry people and their stuff back and forth, and also for provisions as your stay progresses.
Just FYI, we could not find water taxi's or drive at night. The hosts provided a very good guide before we arrived, and were responsive.

Make sure you do your research on the local area before you go to prepare yourself, depending on what you want from your stay! Make sure you have a navigational map of the lake (available in marina's and shops around the lake). Plan on where to take your trash afterwards also.

I highly recommend this place, we will be back hopefully!
